Brian Davies and G.R. Evans: Anselm of Canterbury - The Major Works (Oxford University Press 1998)

The translators were instructed to be hip dudes in their renderings of Anselm's Latin texts. And by and large they succeeded. You can hear the priestly guitars banging and the Birkenstocks tapping in every line. The sacrificial victim, however, is accuracy. The Oxford edition reads like those 19th century renditions of German philosophical writings which appear to have been produced by an assembly of drunken Victorian sea captains. Read it for fun but make sure you have Anselm's Latin to hand before drawing any philosophical conclusions.
