Quintessence of Debauchery (Olympia Press, Traveller's Companion Series,
2004) The publisher chooses to treat this play and porn in general as
something you publish on the cheap for a quick buck. That, of course, is a
tremendous disservice to a piece that may have been written by one of
England's greatest lyric poets. There is not the slightest attempt to
establish the text or list the sources, which leads one to wonder how much
is genuine. As with all Traveller's (sic) Companion books, the proofreading
is abysmal. |
